Forest Foundation Philippines Partners with Dynamiq Enterprise Solution Inc. for Additional Support in VAMR

FFP x IDEAS and Dynamiq

A moment of gratitude: Dynamiq receives a certificate of appreciation for their support.

Dynamiq Enterprise Solution Inc. bolstered their sustainability program by partnering with Forest Foundation Philippines.

Forest Foundation Philippines is currently empowering several Indigenous Peoples’ Organization (IPO) in the Victoria Anepahan Mountain Range (VAMR) through its grantee, Institute for the Development of
Educational and Ecological Alternatives, Inc.
(IDEAS).

VAMR is one of the largest Key Biodiversity Areas (KBA) in Palawan. With a total area of about 164,000 hectares, VAMR is rich in water resources (distributed within 34 watersheds) that provide residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial uses.

VAMR is shared by the municipalities of Narra, Quezon, Aborlan, and the city of Puerto Princesa. The Foundation’s ongoing project with IDEAS titled “Strengthening Community Position and Stakeholders support in VAMR Conservation – Phase 2”, empowers IPOs in Narra, Quezon, Aborlan, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan through capacity building activities and by helping them create sustainable livelihoods on non-timber forest products and agroforestry-based products. These initiatives ensure that the forests in VAMR can continue to provide natural resources and other ecosystem services for generations to come.

While the Foundation has provided grant support for the IPO’s agroforestry and reforestation activities, emerging needs require further support. In the recent consultation of the Foundation with the IPOs, the members mentioned the need for additional planting tools and additional fruit tree seedlings for their agroforestry farms. Dynamiq’s cash donation will allow the IPOs to purchase these needs to improve their livelihoods and restoration initiatives.
