Makati City, Philippines — Forest Foundation Philippines met with the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Canada’s Minister of International Development, to discuss the critical issues of biodiversity loss and climate resilience among vulnerable communities, especially among Indigenous Peoples and women.
The insightful discussions, joined by His Excellency, David Hartman, Ambassador of Canada to the Philippines, Ms. Edwina Garchitorena, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Forest Foundation, and Atty. Jose Andres Canivel, Executive Director, centered around innovative nature-based solutions for climate adaptation.
Minister Hussen’s visit marked the 75th year of Philippines-Canada Diplomatic Relations, signifying a strengthened bond between the two countries. The celebration of this milestone serves as a testament to their enduring partnership and shared vision for a resilient and ecologically sustainable future.
