Forest Foundation Philippines and True Value have partnered to strengthen forest protection and conservation efforts by donating essential materials to support the work of forest guards and forest-dependent communities across the country.
Through this partnership, True Value facilitated the donation of around 220 items of gardening and planting tools from their brand partners, Lotus Tools and Greenfield Tools. It will benefit community partners of Forest Foundation Philippines engaged in forest restoration, agroforestry, and organic vegetable farming for food security. The beneficiaries include:
- Barangay Mamuyao and Sto. Niño in Tanay, Rizal (through the Miriam College Environmental Studies Institute);
- Samahan ng Manggugulay sa New Busuanga, Macapal Farmers Association and Malaking Patag Farmers Association in Palawan (through the Calamianes Resilience Network); and
- Quirino Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative.

Jose Andres Canivel, Executive Director of Forest Foundation Philippines. “These donations will directly benefit our partners on the ground who are leading forest protection and restoration efforts in their communities.”
