Background
Forest Foundation Philippines (doing business as Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation (PTFCF), Inc.) is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization that provides grants and technical assistance to organizations and individuals that empower the people to protect the forests.
The Foundation is currently implementing the Eighth Operational Phase of the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP8). Building on its over 26 years of successful operations in total over 133 countries, the 8th Operational Phase of the SGP aims “engage local CSOs/CBOs in landscape-seascape approaches across the world, providing them access to knowledge and information, capacitating them through learning-by-doing, skills development, and delivering technical and grant assistance for interventions that enhance wellbeing and socio-economic conditions and generate global environmental benefits. Critical benefits will accrue in biodiversity conservation, sustainable natural resource management, climate mitigation and adaptation, multi-stakeholder governance, poverty reduction, waste management, energy access, water security, access and management, human health, gender equality, and others. The interventions will be implemented across focal landscapes in the provinces of Aurora, Quezon, Catanduanes, Surigao del Norte, Cluster 6 River Basin in Northern Samar, and Calamianes Group of Islands in Palawan.
To fulfill the above tasks, the Forest Foundation Philippines is in need of a Program Associate.
Job Specification
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Associate is expected to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with the Program Manager, the Program Associate will:
- Support the implementation of the communications plan of SGP8;
- Provide support to the development of multimedia outputs about SGP8;
- Document program meetings and learning events of SGP8, as necessary;
- Collaborate closely with Knowledge Management and Communication personnel of the Foundation in relation to SGP8;
- Support for program related administrative arrangements and financial transactions;
- Data input and management of all documents relating to project proposals and grants;
- Ensure clear and consistent communications with grantees and partners in the field;
- Support the program and conduct field activities if any;
- Shall support the Program in project development, ensuring timely implementation of projects, provide technical advice, and monitoring activities and;
- Perform other duties that may be required by the Executive Director, supervisor, and the program team.
Duration and Places of Work
The Program Associate is a fixed term position until October 31, 2028. The engagement may be extended depending on the needs of the Foundation. There will be a 6-month probation period, after which a substantive evaluation will be carried out. The individual contract will be reconfirmed annually by the Executive Director.
The assignment will primarily be based in the Foundation’s office in Makati City, with occasional work in project sites.
Compensation
The Program Associate will receive a compensation commensurate with qualifications and professional experience. Basic salary will range from PhP 35,000.00 to 40,000.00 (gross) monthly. Benefits will include mandatory government contributions, insurance (life, accident, and health), sick leave conversion, monthly allowance, and clothing allowance.

Job Qualifications
- University Degree in Development Communication, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or other related fields.
- Relevant work experience is an advantage.
- Willing and able to travel to the Foundation’s project sites.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for environmental conservation.
