Empowered students to become advocates of forest protection, restoration, and conservation initiatives. Student advocates from Bulacan State University, University of the Philippines Tacloban College, and University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines received training, technical assistance, and funding to implement their own forest conservation projects in their respective communities. These projects included the Sierra Madre Training and Education Movement for Students (STEM4STEM), Mangrove Action Project (MAP), and Native Trees Nursery (NaTreNur), all of which aim to support critical forest landscapes in the Philippines.
